How to Choose the Right Logo Designer in Delhi

Finding a good logo designer in Delhi is less about portfolios and more about the questions you ask before you sign anything.

Search for a logo designer in Delhi and you will get thousands of results within a five-kilometre radius of Nehru Place alone, ranging from a college student with a laptop to full studios like ours in Okhla. Price is not a reliable filter here, because I have seen ₹2,000 quotes and ₹40,000 quotes for briefs that were, on paper, identical. What actually separates a good hire from a bad one is a short list of questions most people never think to ask.

Ask what file formats you will actually receive

This is the single most revealing question you can put to a logo designer in Delhi. If the answer is 'a JPG, sent on WhatsApp,' walk away regardless of the price. You want vector source files — AI, EPS, SVG or CDR — plus a black-only version, a white reversed version, and PNGs with transparent backgrounds. If a designer cannot explain why you need a vector file, they likely have not had to fix the problems that come from not having one.

Look for someone who understands print, not just screens

Delhi has a strange split in its design market: plenty of designers work purely digitally and have never stood at a press checking a colour proof. That is fine if you only need a logo for Instagram. It is a problem if you need signage in Jamia Nagar, a menu card for a restaurant in Lajpat Nagar, or packaging that has to hold Pantone accuracy across a print run. Ask directly whether they have handled offset or flex printing themselves. At our studio the design desk and the print floor are in the same building, which is exactly why we catch colour-shift problems before a client does.

  • Do they show revision rounds and process, not just final logos?
  • Do they explain their pricing bracket rather than quoting a flat number instantly?
  • Do they ask about your business before asking about your budget?
  • Have they worked across both digital and print output?

Read the portfolio for range, not just polish

Anyone can show you five nice logos if they cherry-pick. Ask to see a wordmark, an icon-based mark, and something for a service business, because these require different thinking. We have designed over 50 logos and 10-plus full identity systems from our Okhla studio, spanning restaurants, clinics, and manufacturing brands, and I would rather show a client three unrelated examples than three that look the same.

A designer who asks about your customers before asking about your favourite colour is usually the one worth hiring.

Consider location honestly, but do not overweight it

Being based in Okhla, Nehru Place, or a Gurgaon corporate park makes it easier to sit across a table during a brief and see a proof under the same light your signage will hang in. It is genuinely useful for print-heavy work. But it should not override the fundamentals above — a good remote designer with proper process beats a nearby one without it.

If you are currently comparing quotes and want an honest read on whether a proposal you have received actually covers what it should, send it to me on WhatsApp. I will tell you what is missing, even if that means telling you our own studio is not the right fit for your specific brief.

Send us the business name and where the design has to appear. You will get an honest answer, not a template quote.
